About this plugin

Blend Modes puts every blend mode in one panel, so you can set them without hunting through menus. Select one or more layers or groups, click a mode, and it's applied immediately. There's no dropdown and no Apply button.

The panel shows all 16 modes at once, grouped by what they do:

Darken: Darken, Multiply, Color Burn Lighten: Lighten, Screen, Color Dodge Contrast: Overlay, Soft Light, Hard Light Inversion: Difference, Exclusion Component: Hue, Saturation, Color, Luminosity

The mode currently on your selection is highlighted, and the top of the panel shows how many items are selected. If the selection has different modes, it says "Mixed", so you can see at a glance whether everything matches. "Normal (reset)" at the top puts everything back to the default.

Blend modes apply to layers and groups. Shapes nested inside a layer don't have their own blend mode in Creator, so select the layer that contains them. How a blend mode renders depends on the player you export to, so test in your target runtime before shipping.

New in version 1.0.0

Highlights

First release of Blend Modes for Lottie Creator.

  • All 16 blend modes in one panel, grouped as Darken, Lighten, Contrast, Inversion and Component

  • One click applies a mode to every selected layer and group, with no dropdown and no Apply button

  • The current mode is highlighted, and the panel shows "Mixed" when the selection has different modes

  • "Normal (reset)" restores the default blend mode

Notes

Blend modes apply to layers and groups only. Shapes nested inside a layer have no blend mode of their own, so select the parent layer. How a blend mode renders depends on the player you export to, so test in your target runtime before shipping.
